L'ONIDS a été fondée en 2013 par un groupe de militantes féminines, avocats, psychologues, journalistes et médecins pour promouvoir et protéger les droits des femmes et des jeunes qui sont souvent négligés et exposés à diverses formes de violence. Avec la subvention Leading from the South, the organisation will advocate for the elimination of women’s rights abuses at the community level. The project will undertake a study on the status of the rights of girls and women in the central east region of Burkina to inform its advocacy work.
