$15,000 to conduct series of educational activities within selected communities and school visits to promote women’s participation in political and leadership processes.

$15,000 to promote and support women’s effective participation in traditional councils through intensive training for women councillors and some traditional leaders.

$15,000 to organize a 3 day national workshop to educate the minority women on leadership issues and the need to actively participate in the forthcoming Municipal and Parliamentary elections in Somaliland in 2012.

$10,000 to train members of relevant governmental and nongovernmental organizations on detection of signs of sexual violence and provision of specific assistance;

$25,000 to implement a project titled “Creating a conducive and safe environment for women’s participation in the November 2012 local government elections”.

$12,000 to organize series of training and educational activities for selected women interested in politics and leadership; undertake advocacy activities to lobby district governing structures and political parties to involve women in leadership positions and all activities during the November 2012 elections.

$50,000 to carry out a research on governance, peace and security leading to 3 publications; To expand ALC’s ICT platform; To support institutional visits for 4 fellows

$10,000 to mobilize and educate about 80 traditional authorities in 3 senatorial zones in Imo State of Nigeria on the need to include women in local governance and gender equality issues and to train about 200 people from selected community based organizations on good governance and human rights.

$30,000 to improve women’s opportunities for entering into politics and governance in two states namely Lagos and Delta States of Nigeria and to mobilize and train 300 women in Lagos and Delta States of Nigeria to participate in partisan politics and seek elective office at the state and local levels in 2015

$15,000 to support the publication of GADA’s newsletter (Women in Public Life) for the period, July 2012 – June 2013.
