[tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr”]The African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) is happy to invite proposals for the second round of grants from all eligible women-led and women’s rights groups and organisations in Africa and the Middle East. Applications are due 15 January 2018. Under the Leading from the South initiative, AWDF aims to scale up its grantmaking and advocacy initiatives to promote women’s rights, amplify their voices, increase economic opportunities and improve access to spaces of decision-making. In Round 1 of the Leading from the South initiative, AWDF awarded grants to 23 organisations based in 15 countries with project implementation in 27 countries. AWDF is committed to supporting women’s leadership and will only fund groups that are women led in board/staff and have advancing women’s rights/gender equality as a priority and an explicit part of their mandate. AWDF supports organisations and initiatives advancing the rights of women facing multiple discriminations. This includes young women; differently-abled women; women living with HIV, economically marginalised rural and urban women; sex workers and lesbian, bisexual and transgender women. We encourage applications from initiatives led by and/or including the participation and agendas of these constituencies.

Le Fonds Africain pour le Développement de la Femme à le plaisir de recevoir des propositions de projets pour son deuxième cycle de subvention disponible à toutes organisations ou groupes éligibles dirigés par des femmes et qui œuvrent pour la promotion des droits de la femme en Afrique et au Moyen-Orient. La date limite de réception des candidatures est le 15 janvier 2018.
Dans le cadre de l’initiative LE SUD AUX RÊNES DU LEADERSHIP, AWDF vise à élargir son mandat d’octroi de subvention et d’appui aux initiatives de plaidoyer afin de promouvoir d’une part les droits des femmes, faire entendre leur voix, et d’autres part renforcer la justice économique et l’accès des femmes au processus décisionnels.
Dans notre premier cycle de subvention sous l’initiative LE SUD AUX RÊNES DU LEADERSHIP, AWDF a octroyé des subventions à 23 organisations de femmes dans 15 pays pour réaliser des projets dans 27 pays. AWDF s’engage à soutenir le leadership des femmes et ne financera que les organisations dans lesquelles les femmes représentent la majorité de leur conseil d’administration / du personnel et ont pour objectif principal le progrès des droits de la femme et de l’égalité des sexes.
AWDF soutient les organisations et initiatives qui promeuvent les droits des femmes qui souffrent de diverses discriminations. Cela inclut les jeunes femmes, les femmes handicapées, les femmes vivant avec le VIH, les femmes rurales et urbaines économiquement marginalisées, les travailleuses de sexes, les lesbiennes, les bisexuelles, ainsi que les femmes transgenres. Nous encourageons donc des candidatures venant des initiatives dirigées par et/ou qui incluent la participation de ces groupes.
