EWYI was established in 2016 by a group of marginalized girls and women, particularly LBQ women, in Tanzania in response to harassment from society and the Government. The group advocates for a reduction in stigma and discrimination with a focus on the reproductive health rights and social inclusion of LBQ women. The grant will help address violence and police brutality against LBQ women in Tanzania by training LBQ women to raise their voices and demand for their rights, establishing access to legal support for LBQ women in Tanzania.
