$20,000 to publish and produce an anthology collected from over 850 stories for children written by women from various African countries, and distribute these books to children throughout Africa.

$15,000 to hold behavior change workshops with selected female sex workers using participatory games, music and dance to explore and learn about sexual and reproductive health, HIV& AIDS, substance abuse and sexual and gender rights.

$60,000 over two years to continue, expand and strengthen the existing women cooperatives formed with the support of AWDF.

$12,000 to train women living with HIV/AIDS and provide them with seed capital to set up income generating activities.

$15,000 to support women living with HIV/AIDS increase their income levels through trading and working in cooperatives.

$10,000 to provide women living with HIV/AIDS with skills training and seed capital. Part of the funds was earmarked for stigma reduction advocacy and prevention of mother to child transmission education.

$60,000 over three years to establish and support self-help groups of women living with HIV/AIDS to go into sustainable income generation projects.

$20,000 to train selected unemployed women in plastic art, sewing of eco-friendly bags, basic business management, leadership skills and record keeping; and to strengthen cooperatives. Part of the grant was used to undertake educational activities on plastic waste management

$8,000 to organise a training programme on women’s rights issues and advocacy skills as well as to produce 24 radio programmes to create awareness on sexual violence and various laws protecting women and children.

$10,000 to train 50 village midwives and to support 2 health centres for the provision of medical aid to survivors of violence.
