These frame AWDF\u2019s current funding strategy <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/africlub.net\/awdf\/wp-content\/uploads\/AWDF-4th-Strategic-Plan.pdf\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shaping Africa\u2019s Future<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Body &amp; Health Rights<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Economic Security &amp; Justice <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leadership, Participation &amp; Peace<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AWDF is particularly interested in projects working with young women, women facing multiple discrimination, and approaches that include engaging the arts, culture, sports and technology. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AWDF is looking for innovative and effective projects that address the needs of and involve the women and communities most affected by inequality and injustice in the leadership and implementation of projects. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><b>Eligibility Criteria<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The basic qualifying criteria for applying organisations are as follows: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be led by a woman and have majority of its staff and board being women<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be duly registered in an African country<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must have been in existence for at least 3 years<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must have the needed organisational structures for effective implementation of\u00a0<\/span>the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must have an appreciable financial management system to properly account for funds received<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be capable of reporting back on the outcomes of the project<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must complete the necessary application forms<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that AWDF does NOT fund men-led organisations; political parties or campaigning; government agencies; individuals; scholarships; for-profit initiatives and projects aimed at religious conversion or proselytizing. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":6278,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[8,1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8841","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","category-uncategorized"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
