Dubbed \u201c<em>Tuli Wamu Nawe<\/em>,\u201d meaning \u201cWe are together with You\u201d,\u00a0the project aims to use\u00a0peer education and training to help share knowledge about \u00a0the effects of\u00a0stigma and discrimination on young women and girls&#8217; HIV\/AIDS\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">prevention, care and treatment efforts in Uganda. Additionally, the experiences keeps women and girls\u00a0from actively participating in the social, economic and political development of their local communities and the country\u00a0at large.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Under the <em>Tuli Wamu Nawe<\/em> project, 25 women and girls with HIV\/AIDS will be mentored and assisted with setting-up sustainable income generation activities (IGA). PHAU will work to forge partnerships with key community stakeholders and train peer educators and volunteers in HIV education activities to ensure that change is sustained long-term. The project will benefit 5 selected communities within Wakiso and Kampala districts.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the project activities on the PHAU\u00a0social media platforms: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/phauganda\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/phauganda\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCfoVCjfTCrgjzo50K0CgCSA\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube <\/a>using the following hashtags #TuliWamuNawe #AcceptMe #EmbraceMe #WomenandGirlsagainstStigma.
