{"id":4605,"date":"2011-04-28T16:24:51","date_gmt":"2011-04-28T16:24:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.africlub.net\/awdf\/?p=1724"},"modified":"2015-08-12T16:43:49","modified_gmt":"2015-08-12T16:43:49","slug":"message-to-awdfs-grantees-and-prospective-grantees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/awdf.org\/OldSite\/message-to-awdfs-grantees-and-prospective-grantees\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Update on AWDF&#8217;s Grant-Making Processes"},"content":{"rendered":"<span lang=\"en\">AWDF will be launching its new 5-year strategic plan 2011 \u2013 2015 shortly.\u00a0\u00a0 As part of the strategic plan, AWDF is reworking its grant making thematic areas. The six new thematic areas are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women\u2019s Human Rights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Governance, Peace and Security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Reproductive Health and Rights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>HIV\/AIDS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Arts, Culture and Sports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Guidelines are being developed for each of the thematic areas and will be uploaded on AWDF\u2019s website and various communication outlets on completion.\u00a0 A new schedule for grant applications will be published at the same time. Therefore, we are asking potential grant applicants to wait until after the thematic guidelines and the grant processing schedule are published before submitting any further applications. \u00a0AWDF will not be processing new grants applications until that point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Meanwhile we will continue to process applications that we have already received and duly acknowledged, which have increased enormously over the past year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Please watch out for the publication of the guidelines and the grant processing schedule.
