16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence commences on 25th<\/sup> November and ends on 10th<\/sup> December. Globally, women\u2019s rights activists use this period to draw even more attention to the violence that women face on a day to day basis. This year\u2019s theme, From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Let\u2019s Challenge Militarism and End Violence Against Women<\/em> highlights the issue of militarism and its violent repercussions for women and girls.<\/p>\n

During this campaign period, AWDF will also join in an international tweetathon alongside its international partners. Follow @awdf01 via twitter for more updates.<\/p>\n
