{"id":8522,"date":"2017-11-03T07:52:53","date_gmt":"2017-11-03T07:52:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/africlub.net\/awdf\/?page_id=8522"},"modified":"2019-05-13T13:36:13","modified_gmt":"2019-05-13T13:36:13","slug":"history-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/awdf.org\/OldSite\/history-2\/","title":{"rendered":"History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span lang=\"en\">Inspired by the aspirations of the African women\u2019s movement, the African Women\u2019s Development Fund (AWDF) was created as an independent resource for gender equality and development across the continent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Today, AWDF\u2019s grantmaking practices are built to support the initiatives of African women who may not have access to mainstream funding due to capacity, language, location, and marginalisation.
