SHEROES is a reminder of the resilience of African women, our distinct resource of power and capacity to transform our lives and those of our communities, this album demonstrates the growth AWDF has experienced over the years and projects a future vision of exciting expansion.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sheroes album is line-up of African poets, film and music makers, opening with a Foreword by Gra\u04aba Machel<\/strong><\/a> and features Oumou Sangare, Angelique Kidjo, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Thandiswa, Abena Busia, Bi Kidude, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Stella Chiweshe, Sia Tolno, Laurette La Perle, Somi, Yaba Badoe, Olutimehin Adegbeye, Omawumi, Noura Mint Seymali El Madi, ,\u00a0Nneka,\u00a0Meklit, Lady Jay, Sena Dagadu,\u00a0Miatta Fahnbulleh,\u00a0Sister Fa Miliyamba,\u00a0Muthoni, REA, Manou Gallo, Dobet Gnahore,\u00a0Maame Afon and Wiyaala.\u00a0In support of AWDF and to show solidarity with African women, each artist has generously donated their work.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This audiovisual project\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>is a fire starter, a dynamic blend of voices tuned to the pulse of a new dawn for African women where the spirited flames of resilience, solidarity, and possibility never stop growing. This is an audiovisual treasure trove of vibrant African women artists who are cutting the path towards radically new ways of being. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

SHEROES<\/b>\u00a0is a beautifully packaged limited run of 1000 copies. The gold level of giving \u2013 The Nile River option at USD10,000 \u2013 is a special edition that includes a golden CD\/DVD combo, a handmade card lovingly signed by notable contributors to the compilation and a few other treats. Three Rivers, Three Different ways to give.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You will receive this gift of limited edition compilation of Art, Music and Poetry and support the work of Women\u2019s Human Rights Activists across the continent. Anyone can contribute to furthering the movement and the Niger level of Giving allows everyone to be a part of supporting great art by African women as well as to be a part of AWDF\u2019s philanthropic history.<\/span><\/p>\n

CONGO<\/strong>: The second level of giving is the Congo. For a gift of 1,000 USD you will receive this gift of limited edition compilation of Art, Music and Poetry and support the work of Women\u2019s Human Rights Activists across the continent. This larger donation will allow us to impact the lives of more women on the continent by providing more support for AWDF.<\/span><\/p>\n

NILE<\/strong>: The highest level of giving is the Nile. For a gift of 10,000 USD or more you will receive this gift of a limited edition compilation of Art, Music and Poetry and support the Women\u2019s Human Rights Activists across the continent. This gift allows us to give greater support to the innovative new women’s programs and allows you to further your support for our work.<\/span><\/p>\n
