The AWDF’s Small Grants Programme supports small, grassroots African women’s groups. (Most successful candidates will likely not to have access to any financial support, or meet the eligibility criteria for the AWDF’s main funding programme.) The Small Grants Programme also supports emergency issues, such as community disasters, or activities that require a rapid response.

This programme currently operates only in Ghana, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria.
