Established in 1976, Rape Crisis is the oldest women’s organisation in South Africa dealing with adult rape. Its founder, Anne Mayne, was a survivor of rape and was driven to form the organisation by the lack of services and support available to survivors at that time. The grant will be used as a core grant to support the work of the Rape Crises. They will use the grant to support their work around advocating for the roll out of the sexual offences court in South Africa.
