To make this possible, the AWDF draws resources from individuals, corporations, foundations and governments. Then, we provide financial and capacity-building support to women’s organisations across Africa.
Our work
Since 2001, the AWDF has been working for, by, and with African women to promote, support and amplify African women’s organising.
Every year, the AWDF makes grants to over 100 groups, organisations and institutions that share our passion for supporting the rights of African women. In the last 20 years, the AWDF has provided 59 million dollars to over 1,300 women-led organisations in 44 African countries and 3 in the Middle East.
