On Thursday 5th April 2012, Theo Sowa, AWDF’s Interim CEO spoke on the critical importance of ‘African Women’s Voice and Representation’, at a TEDxChange in Berlin. Germany. To watch a video of her speech please click here
Theo Sowa spoke alongside Melinda French Gates, Sven Giegold and Baaba Maal. For full details of the TEDxChange event please visit their website

I heard your presentation at a TEDw Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. I was so impressed with your comments about how many times we rely on the same six women to represent all women and how African women are not always included in discussions about what can be done to help other African women.
I am considering working with a local university on a project to increase the number of African women going into engineering. Do you have any information or contacts for me regarding such a goal? Is anyone working on this type of project? We are looking at Rwanda, specifically.
Thanks and continue this good work.
Hi, I recently saw the clip of your presentation on the TEDxChange website. I deeply moved by your message you expressed, about how important it is to hear the voices of African women. The women you featured in your presentation were very inspiring; they are true leaders.
I am currently part of a team attempting to put together a small Institute for the US State Department as part of the Women In Public Service Project ( click the link to website). We would love to get in contact with Theo Sowa to see if she left a road map to the women she featured in her presentation so that we can get in contact with them.
Please if you can, please provided me with a way to contact Theo Sowa, or these inspiring women??
Thank you and excellent work with everything.
Dear Anne,
Kindly send an email to communications[at]africlub.net/awdf with your request concerning this issue, and you should be guided through the necessary process. Many thanks.
