2015 GATES ANNUAL LETTER
In their annual letter for this year, Bill and Melinda Gates have shared their visions on what they hope to accomplish through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation over the next 15 years. These include working towards breakthroughs in health, farming, banking and education for resource strapped nations. Specific goals include the reduction of infant and maternal deaths, strengthening agricultural systems to help reduce reliance on imported food within Africa, using software to revolutionize education and increasing access to banking services through mobile phones in poorer communities. The letter also points out how women are disproportionately affected by issues in these sectors and and acknowledges gender equality as fundamental to achieving the goals.
