[tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr”]Although her past career was in the financial sector, Ayesha Abukari has always had a passion for development work and advancing women’s rights issues. She worked with the Africa 2000 Network (UNDP) to complete her national service by making direct impact with project beneficiaries.
She holds a B.A in Integrated Development Studies from the University of Development Studies, Ghana, and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. in Marketing at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).[/tp]
[tp lang=”fr” not_in=”en”]Bien qu’elle ait commencé sa carrière dans le secteur financier, Ayesha Abukari a toujours eu une passion pour le développement et faire progresser les questions de droits des femmes. Elle a travaillé avec le Réseau Afrique 2000 (PNUD) pour compléter son service national en ayant une incidence directe sur les bénéficiaires du projet.
Elle détient un baccalauréat en études de développement intégré de l’Université des Etudes de Développement, Ghana, et poursuit actuellement un MBA en Marketing de l’Institut ghanéen de gestion et administration publique (GIMPA).[/tp]

[tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr]Nafi Chinery is passionate about promoting organisational development and women’s leadership in Africa. In her role at the AWDF, she works with women-led organizations to build their organisational systems and leadership capacity to enable them to advocate for their and inclusive decision making processes that affects the lives of women and girls. Through this work, she has gained insights into stories of success and failure among different organizations across Africa.
Nafi began her career with Oxfam Great Britain, where she worked on issues of economic empowerment, livelihoods and health. She is an alumna of the University of Reading, UK, Cape Coast University, Ghana, African Women’s Leadership Institute and Aspen Institute’s New Voices Fellowship.[/tp]
[tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr]Nafi Chinery est passionnée par la promotion du développement organisationnel et le leadership des femmes en Afrique. A l’AWDF, elle travaille avec des organisations dirigées par des femmes pour construire des systèmes organisationnels et capacités en matière de leadership, afin de leur permettre de se défendre, ainsi que des processus décisionnels inclusifs qui affectent la vie des femmes et des filles. Grâce à ce travail, elle a acquis des connaissances par lees histoires de réussite et d’échec des différentes organisations à travers l’Afrique.
Nafi a commencé sa carrière avec Oxfam Grande-Bretagne où elle a travaillé sur les questions d’autonomisation économique, les moyens de subsistance et la santé. [tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr”]Beatrice is the Grants Manager at the African Women’s Development Fund with the key responsibility of providing leadership and direction for the grants making function. Beatrice also manages the HIV/AIDS portfolio at the Fund. Beatrice has a Masters’ Degree in Communication Studies and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ghana. She also holds an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Beatrice is an expert in grant-making design and management and community development programmes with special expertise in the areas of public health and social research. She has special interest in working with small women’s groups.[/tp]

Beatrice gère également le portefeuille VIH / SIDA au Fonds. Elle est détentrice d’un Master en Communication, d’un Executive Master en administration des affaires de l’Université du Ghana. Elle est également titulaire d’une licence en droit de l’Institut ghanéen de gestion et administration publique (GIMPA). Beatrice est expert en conception d’octroi de subventions et programmes de gestion et de développement de la communauté avec une expertise particulière dans les domaines de la santé publique et la recherche sociale. Elle a un intérêt particulier pour le travail avec les petits groupes de femmes.[/tp]

[tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr”]Afi’s responsibilities in the Finance Department include working to achieve the objectives of the day to day operational management, processing Grants payments and managing the Fixed Assets of the organisation. She is a student of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a graduate from the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor of Commerce. Afi believes her years with AWDF have been an ideal foundation for developing both her financial expertise and passion for African women’s rights.[/tp]

Mavis joined AWDF in January 2007 and has 10 years’ experience in Financial Management in the NGO sector. She is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and an alumna of University of Coast where she studied Accounting and Economics. She is passionate about children and believes every child is unique and with the right environment and exposure they can achieve their full potential.

Mavis a rejoint l’AWDF en janvier 2007. Elle a 10 ans d’expériences dans la gestion du financement des organisations non-gouvernementales. Elle est membre de l’Association des experts comptables certifiés (Angleterre) et ancienne étudiante de l’université de Cape Coast où elle a étudié l’Économie et la Comptabilité. Elle est passionnée par la vie des enfants. Elle croie que chaque enfant est unique et a droit à un environnement meilleur et à une exposition qui le permettra de développer ses potentialités.

Abigail NINSON
[tp lang=”en” not_in=”fr”]Abigail is the Administrative Assistant at the AWDF and comes to the fund with over 6 years experience in the field of administration. Her role at the fund includes providing support to the HR Manager and ensuring that the administrative needs of both staff and visitors are well catered for.
Prior to joining AWDF, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Charles Kendall & Partners: Fiscal & Procurement Agents for the Millennium Development Authority (MIDA) Ghana project. Abigail holds a BSc. in Management with Computing (HR Option) from the Regent University College of Science & Technology and also has the following certificates to her credit; Higher National Diploma in Secretaryship & Management Studies from Accra Polytechnic and a Private Secretaryship Certificate from NACVET.[/tp]

A l’AWDF elle pourvoit un soutien à la directrice des ressources humaines et veille à répondre aux besoins administratifs à la fois du personnel et des visiteurs.
Avant de se joindre à l’AWDF, elle a travaillé comme adjointe administrative pour Charles Kendall & Partners: agents fiscaux et d’approvisionnement pour le projet du Millénaire pour le développement (APDD) Ghana. Abigail est titulaire d’une Licence en « Management Computing » (option RH) de la Regent University College of Science & Technology et possède également les certificats suivants : Diplôme National Supérieur de secrétariat & Management Studies de Accra Polytechnic et un certificat de NACVET en secrétariat privé.[/tp]

She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) UK. She also holds an executive M.B.A. in Human Resources from the University of Ghana Business School and is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners. She is the founder of the Sena Anku Memorial Foundation which seeks to inform and support people about breast cancer.[/tp]

Before joining the African Women’s Development Fund, she worked at Plan International as the Resource Mobilization Manager for four years. Joan also worked as a World Bank Consultant on the Government of Ghana Public Sector Restructuring Project under the National Institutional Renewal Programme (NIRP) under the Office of the President.
She holds a B.A. degree with honors in Sociology, a Certificate in P.R., Advertising and Marketing from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, and an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana Business School.[/tp]

Elle est titulaire d’un B.A (Hons) en sociologie, d’un diplôme en relations publiques, en publicité et en marketing de l’Institut ghanéen de Journalisme et d’un MBA en gestion des ressources humaines de l’Ecole de l’administration des affaires de l’Université du Ghana.[/tp]

A in Social Work with Sociology from the University of Ghana with special interest in gender studies. Prior to joining the AWDF she worked as a customer service assistant at Alliance Waste Limited to complete her National Service.
Growing up she has always wanted to work in the development sector specifically on women’s rights issues.[/tp]
